She is a highly experienced trial attorney and has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of her clients each year in areas of personal injury, products liability, business litigation, consumer and business fraud and insurance disputes. She works diligently for the families and businesses she represents in North Alabama and the surrounding areas.

Born and raised in a close-knit community in North Alabama, Attorney Matlock developed a deep appreciation for the values of integrity, community, and hard work. In a small town where everyone knew their neighbor, Attorney Matlock learned the importance of building relationships, trust, and standing up for what is right.

Attorney Matlock’s roots in Marshall and Madison counties profoundly shape her approach to the practice of law. The lessons from her upbringing guide her in understanding the unique challenges individuals and families face. From the front porches of her childhood to the courtrooms of today, Attorney Matlock brings the same sense of dedication, compassion, and commitment to justice.

According to Attorney Matlock, the purpose for a career in law was simply to help people. Initially, she sought to do that by becoming a social worker. So, as an undergraduate at the University of Alabama, she received a Bachelor of Social Work. During her time as a social worker, Attorney Matlock worked closely with the family court system in Alabama. It was this experience that led Jasmine to seek a career as a lawyer.

Attorney Matlock went to the University of Alabama School of Law with that goal in mind. While in law school, Attorney Matlock won several competitions, recognitions and awards. She was a trial competition winner, and a finalist in appellate advocacy moot court. Attorney Matlock also drafted a legal research article which was selected for publication in the prominent legal journal, Journal of the Legal Profession, while in law school.

Following her first year of law school, Attorney Matlock was the only law student selected to clerk for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Lyn Stuart. She was also selected to clerk for a prominent personal injury law firm in North Alabama. Attorney Matlock worked on numerous plaintiff’s cases and was ultimately recruited by this firm to start her legal career following law school graduation.

Since beginning her career as a lawyer, Attorney Matlock has been named a Rising Star in the area of Civil Plaintiff’s Litigation for 2021, 2022 and 2023. She was also named Top 40 Under 40 for 2022 and 2023 by the National Trial Lawyers. She serves as Committee Chair for the Huntsville Bar Association Women’s Section and is actively involved in the Alabama Association for Justice.

Attorney Matlock is the parent of one daughter, Amelia, and one son, Grayson. She also has four incredible step-children, Addison Claire, Sophia, Talon and Bennett. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Dr. Matlock, and cocker spaniels, Lennon and Maple. Attorney Matlock’s husband is a doctor in Marshall County at Marshall Medical Center North.
